Message from Principal Lorow
Happy June! Twenty jam packed days of school left in the 22-23 school year. It has been a fabulous year - full of challenges, problem solving, growth, and successes! Thank you to each of you for sharing your student with us and for your partnership! We could not do it without you! The Jog-A-Thon is a big example of this. Preliminary counts show that the students (with your help) raised over $7,400. Wow! This will go toward supporting the 5th grade overnight trip to NatureBridge.
As we work to finish up this school year, we are deep into planning for the next year. We have begun re-writing and updating the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) that will set forth our goals for a Joyful, Safe Learning Environment, Academic Success, Family Involvement, and a Culturally Responsive Workforce for the next three years. Look for more to come about this soon. Please help us out with this work by completing the school events survey linked here. Your voice matters.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is overflowing! Please stop by to pick up your child’s lost item(s), any school day from 7:35am – 3:00pm. Any items left over after the last day of school, June 30th , will be donated.
Neighborcare
Summer is almost here! The Neighborcare Health Center will only see urgent medical appointments the week of June 20th. If you need vaccines or sports physicals done you have until June 14th. We also have student health resources in multiple languages for students summer needs. Please give us a call (206-452-2660) or email Emma: emma.cavaliere@neighborcare.org for your student’s appointments or questions.
Yearbooks
The 5th grade Yearbook Club worked with art teacher Ms. Michelle and Friends of Roxhill volunteers to produce a beautiful keepsake to commemorate the 2022-2023 school year. Every student will receive a yearbook, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
If you have the means, please consider making a donation to cover the cost of your student's (and a classmate's) yearbook. The cost to print each yearbook is $15, but we welcome donations in any amount. https://forms.gle/DC5Tg2BhLXFQowRQ9
Thank you for helping us ensure that ALL students can keep this memento of their elementary school days!
T-shirts for Sale
We hope your students are loving their new t-shirts! We have adult sizes available to purchase for $20 each. Youth sizes are also available if you need a replacement shirt.

Garden Committee Meeting
Wednesday, June 7, 1:15pm
Have you been to the Roxhill garden? Join us with your student right after pickup in our school’s only green space to talk about ways we can improve and expand the space and create a thriving garden for our students to learn in. We want to hear your ideas!
To get to the garden, walk or drive into the school parking lot located on the corner of 34th and Kenyon. There is an entrance at the back of the parking lot. Do not enter through the school.
We also want to thank Ms. Christa and Girl Scout Troop 45180 for building 3 brand new garden beds for us! They showed up just in time for Mr. Popelka’s Kindergarten class to come and plant their tomato starts in them.
