At Roxhill, we take care of each other. We know that every student and family contributes to our community in different ways. That can mean contributing to a joyful learning environment, helping a neighbor get to school, or raising funds to help feed our families, like we’re doing with our Winter Basic Needs fundraiser right now.
Whether it’s baking cookies, donating an auction item, planning family fun night, or learning about school funding equity at our community meeting, there are great ways to get involved in Roxhill in the last month of 2025!
Here’s all the latest news, events, and volunteer opportunities:
- Help us fight food insecurity with our Winter Basic Needs Fund
- Last Chance to Order Chocolates: December 5!
- New Library Song!

Help us fight food insecurity with our Winter Basic Needs Fund

Thanks to over 80 donors, we have reached our initial goal of $8000! This is what we raised last year, and we are grateful to every single person who chipped in what they could to support our families.
We know that MORE families need MORE resources to meet their baseline needs this year, so we are aiming for a new stretch goal of $10,000!
As of this week, we are already distributing resources to our families with the money we’ve raised so far. The more we raise, the more goes straight to families.
If you can forward this message to three other people who you think want to support their neighbors, we can multiply our support and feed more families.
Our school counselor, Ms. Amber, recorded a message sharing the important reasons why we are supporting our Roxhill families with this fundraiser:

Last Chance to Order Chocolates: December 5!
What’s the sweetest way to support Friends of Roxhill? The See’s holiday fundraiser! If you’re hoping to purchase chocolates, tomorrow, Friday, December 5 is the last day to get your orders in! Don’t miss out!
New Library Song!
Mr. Robert shares our November-December library song to the always-popular tune of the Cupid Shuffle! This awesome recording features our amazing 5th graders confidently singing about choosing a great book at the library!
Get Involved & Volunteer
This month we have a variety of ways you can help support our school and friends of Roxhill! Everything from donating a batch of cookies to helping plan family fun night!
Interested in other ways to volunteer? Watch for more details about our January “volunteer fair” community meeting next month, and learn about ongoing opportunities on our Volunteer page.

Seeking Auction Item Donations
The FORE auction committee is seeking item donations for our spring auction fundraiser! Our auction will be online from March 23- April 3. Items that tend to do well include: gift cards (to local restaurants, nail salons, cafes, etc.), certificates, event tickets, experiences, and gift-worthy items.
If you or anyone in your network can donate, please fill out the donation form.
Kindness Campaign: Can you help bring cookies to celebrate kindness? (Fridays, December 12 and 19)
Here’s an easy way to help out: bake or buy cookies to reward our Roxstars for being kind to each other or help hand them out at lunch as they celebrate!
We need lots of cookies on Friday, December 12 and Friday, December 19 and have cookie handout volunteer slots available during lunch time. Cookies can be baked at home or purchased. No nuts please! Please sign up to help with our planning.
Help Plan Family Fun Night!
Want to help plan and organize the activities for family fun night? We would love your help and need volunteers! Reach out if you’re interested and/or come to our community meeting on December 8 where we’ll kick off some early planning.
