As always, there’s lots happening at Roxhill – including this week’s celebration of Ruby Bridges! – and plenty of opportunities to support our school. Read on to learn more.
Dine Out Fundraiser Success!
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy pizza and community! There were so many happy and smiling faces enjoying pizza (and long lines!) as we raised over $250, our best dine out in a few years!
Volunteers Needed!
We had a wonderful October community meeting and identified a number of different ways to get involved! It’s clear that our community needs more support to help make the opportunities and events we want for our students happen.
How do you want to help?
- Auction planning: Help get items and get people bidding on FORE’s biggest fundraiser of the year. See below for details on the next auction planning meeting.

- Kings & Queens team: Help mentor 4th and 5th graders during Thursday and Friday lunch club with Mr. Hakeem.
- Reading Buddies: Sign up to read with a student once a week for 15 minutes! Contact Katarina
- Safety Patrol: Seeking people who can be friendly faces as families go to and from school.
- Provide snacks for a volleyball team practice.
- Salmon tank cleaners: Make sure our salmon stay healthy as students learn about their life cycle and release them in the spring.
- Social media support: Help maintain our Instagram/Facebook account to keep families in the know!
- Walking School Bus: Support our team of volunteers making a joyful walk to school on the first Friday of every month
- Weekly Food Box Pickup: Neighborcare is seeking someone who can pick up food boxes from West Seattle Food Bank weekly on Thursday or Friday (mid-day).
